The Institut gallery presents from January 19, 2023 a selection of lithographs and etchings by Paul Delvaux (1897-1994). Paul Delvaux started engraving late, in 1960, when he was 63 years old. He was at the time, appointed professor of monumental painting at the l’École nationale supérieure des arts visuels – Brussels (La Cambre). He created his first etching, Bust of a Woman, while visiting its engraving workshops with his students. At the end of 1965, he executed his first lithographs.
