Nicolas-Toussaint CHARLET (1792 – 1845) : The Merchant of lithographic drawings – 1818/19 Lithograph, 237 x 310 mm. La Combe 85, IFF 66. This famous and rare lithograph was edited from the François-Séraphin Delpech’s presses (1778-1825). Dating from 1818-1819, it is credited as a lithographic incunabula.

This month in our gallery, two artists in the spotlight : Sonia Delaunay (1885-1979) and Fernand Léger (1881-1955). Two artists of the same generation who lived side by side, both major players in the avant-garde movements of the early 20th century. We have received 4 etchings by Sonia Delaunay which bring together all art qualities of this pioneer of Abstract Art which she practised at an early age with her husband, Robert Delaunay, as early as 1910.
