The Art Nouveau spirit, Petit Palais, Paris

1. Pierre Roche, Femmes-cygnes – L’arrêt, 1916, gypsographie, Petit Palais
The Pierre Roche donation at the Petit Palais
until September 11, 2022

The exhibition at the Petit Palais was the chance to let the public (re)discover the work of Pierre Roche. The Petit Palais is really pleased to be a part of It.

This Art Nouveau Spirit artist, who was a friend of the dancer Loïe Fuller and of the writer Huysmans is not a household name nowadays. Although some of his sculptures still adorn numerous Parisian parks, gardens and streets – such as the Fontaine Avril in the gardens of the Palais Galliera.
The artist was a jack of all trades who liked to experiment. He was interested in decorative arts but also in engraving for which he invented new techniques.

This art hanging presented at the Petit Palais explores many facets of his outstanding work through a hundred or so pieces selected from his workshop and donated by his family.
